Photograph Source: https://www.achisoch.com/hindi-slogans-on-environment.html   क्र. सं. शब्द अर्थ 1 अतिसंवेदनशीलता (Hypersensitivity)     जलवायु परिवर्तनशीलता एवं उसकी चरम स्थितियों के साथ साथ जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रतिकूल प्रभावों का सामना करने वाली किसी प्रणाली की अतिसंवेदनशीलता अथवा क्षमता की वह ऊपरी सीमा, जिसके बाद वह इनका सामना करने में असमर्थ हो जाती है। 2 अधिपादप (Epiphytes)       जिन दो अलग अलग प्रकार के पौधों का संबंध भोजन आधारित न होकर केवल आवास आधारित होता है, उन पौधों को अधिपादप कहते हैं । ये वे पौधे होते हैं, जो आश्रय के लिये वृक्षों पर निर्भर होते हैं लेकिन परजीवी नहीं होते। ये वृक्षों के तने, शाखाएं, दरारों, कोटरों, छाल आदि में उपस्थित मिट्टी में उपज जाते हैं व उसी में अपनी जड़ें चिपका कर रखते हैं। कई किस्मों में वायवीय जड़ें भी पायी जाती हैं। ये पौधे उसी वृक्ष से नमी एवं पोषण खींचते हैं। इसके अलावा वर्षा, वायु या आसपास एकत्रित जैव मलबे से भी पोषण लेते हैं। ये अधिपादप पोषण चक्र का भाग होते हैं और उस पारिस्थितिकी की विविधता एवं बायोमास, दोनों में ही योगदान देते हैं। ये कई प्रजातियों के लिये खाद्य का महत्त्वपूर्ण स्रोत भी होते हैं।     3 अनिच्छित ध्वनियाँ (Unwanted Sounds)   “अनिच्छित ...

Presentation on Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Environmental Management and Sustainable Development of Hydropower Projects

Felicitation by Shri Sanjeev Chopra, IAS, Director (LBSNAA) Centre for Rural Studies, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) organised a two days’ Workshop on “The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act (RFCTLARR Act), 2013 and other Land Acquisition Acts: Issues in Implementation, Divergence and Convergence” from 4th – 5th April 2019. In the workshop a presentation on “ RFCTLARR Act, 2013: Issues in Implementation, Divergence & Convergence” was given by Shri Gaurav Kumar, DGM (Environment).The workshop was an ideal platform for the representatives from different Ministries, Public Sector Undertakings, Corporates, Revenue Departments of States, Practitioners, Academicians and other stakeholders, to discuss the issues, challenges and solutions in implementation of the RFCTLARR Act, 2013 and convergence of the Act with other Special Acts. On the issue of divergence, R&R provisions of NHPC R&R Policy and best practices at various power stations on R&R etc. were also presented. “Ek Kaam Desh KE Naam (EKDKN), organized a one day conference on “Environment and Sustainable Development” on 25.03.2019 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. TRAINING ON “ CONSERVATION OF INDIGENOUS FISH SPECIES AND SUSTAINABLE AQUACULTURE IN WARM WATER AND COLD WATER REGION OF LOWER DIBANG VALLEY AND DIBANG VALLEY DISTRICT” UNDER CSR and SD OF NHPC DIBANG MULTIPURPOSE PROJECT

A two days training programme was organised on “ Aquaculture for skill development of fish farmers of Lower Dibang valley” on  27th - 28th November  2018 and on “ Trout Farming Techniques in Cold Water Region for Skill Development of Fish Farmers of   Dibang Valley District” on 17th  to 18th December 2018, in collaboration with State Fisheries Department, Arunachal Pradesh. The programme was attended by more than 70 fish farmers in Lower Dibang Valley and more than 40 fish farmers of Dibang Valley district. The programme got an overwhelming response from the fish farming community.  The aim of the programme was not only to divert the people from using the destructive fishing methods and to make them aware about the conservation of biodiversity but also to give them the alternate source of income by developing their skill to take up the sustainable aquaculture as a means of their livelihood generation.   Training was attended by the officials of the State Fisheries Department and NHPC.
